The red lemon represents a variation of the yellow lemon: compared to the genetic "cousin", the red lemon jumps to the eye for the bright color of the skin, which can be fiery red, or orange. The red lemon also has the pulp of this color, but the taste is slightly more sour than the more well-known lemon. The ripe lemon of this variety has a very thick peel with a drop-shaped, almost elongated shape. The plant produces few fruits compared to the classic lemon in its varieties.
