The Oval or Calabrese orange is a cultivar of unknown origin, probably generated by a mutation of the Common Blond orange.
The tree is average sized with spreading habit and remontant, with the most abundant flowering occurring in spring months. The white, very fragrant flowers grow singly. The fruit is oval with yellow-orange rind and juicy flesh with a pleasant flavour. It remains on the tree until late spring.
This cultivar is an ideal choice as an ornamental plant.
